Real stories from those we've helped

I needed help writing a formal complaint regarding a lack of care my son received over about a year. Tammy took statements from me and drafted a detailed complaint, outlining where the NHS Trust involved did not meet their own guidelines, quoting the relevant guidance along the way.

Tammy also drafted a complete timeline of every time I contacted the Trust, every time I emailed my son’s school to report something, every phonecall I made and received. She meticulously went over the details and made sure every single relevant piece of information was laid out in the timeline, and in the letter of complaint. The final product was described by my son’s psychiatrist as “the best letter of complaint she’d ever read”, as Tammy made sure copies were sent not just to the Trust, but his psychiatrist and his GP as well.

In addition to writing the letter, Tammy was also careful to make sure I was comfortable discussing the finer details surrounding my son’s health. He was deeply unwell and hospitalised at one point, and I found it very distressing to re-visit that. She handled having to do so with care, due diligence to my mental health, and empathy.

Without Tammy, I would never have tackled the complaint. She took a daunting, distressing task and broke it up into pieces that I could manage to assist with, and I will always be thankful to her.

Tammy has honestly been a lifesaver – a lifeline, even.
When we first started working together, I was completely overwhelmed about work and what my next move should be. I had so much anxiety around employment, feeling stuck between “I need a job” and “I actually want to be doing something creative”, and no real idea how to bridge that gap.

Tammy helped me strip everything back and make it simple. She asked the right questions, challenged a lot of the stories I’d been telling myself, and then helped me turn all of that into a clear, realistic plan. For the first time in ages, I could see a path back to working creatively instead of just bouncing between jobs out of panic.

I came away from our sessions feeling calmer, more focused, and actually excited about my future instead of stressed about it. I’d recommend her to anyone who feels stuck, burnt out, or scared to make a change.

I have a lot of respect for Tammy's evident knowledge and skills (hard and soft), and I don't know how she finds the energy to provide help that's not just resourceful but also emotionally informed.

I received more out of my coaching sessions with Tammy than from any other paid [coaching] service I have received, by far. Tammy is a fantastic coach and person. I have never felt more at ease and understood by a coach. The support provided helped me to start shifting my mindset and regain some of the confidence I have lost over the past year of unemployment.

If I were to assign a description to Tammy's work ethic, it would be “Quality in Action.”

Tammy embodied this completely. She was 100% committed, transparent, organised, compassionate, and sensitive in her approach. She explored every possible avenue to minimise further financial losses and played a crucial role in negotiating the transfer of staff. Her critical analysis of the charity’s present position and future forecasts was invaluable.

ACTION, for me, describes her approach:

A – Autonomous & Accountable

C – Compassionate & Critical Coach

T – Transparent & Trusted

I – Impartial

O – Opportunity-focused

N – Nurturing

Neurodojo was not only a lifeline during an incredibly difficult period but also the light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I am extremely grateful for the support, tenacity, hard work, and dedication demonstrated throughout the process.

Tammy has been incredibly helpful and while I was overwhelmed with everything I had to do, she pulled me out of that headspace. I couldn't have gotten the grades that I did in my GCSEs without her.

I was studying for my GCSE's and struggling to handle balancing my time between studying and relaxing due to the constant feeling of never doing enough. I was very burnt out and didn't know what to do - at this point, my exams were mere months away, and I had so much content to cover that I was incredibly overwhelmed and had no idea where to start, or where to go after that. Most of the time, even the thought of picking up a past paper made me feel anxious.

Tammy helped me break everything down, working with me to create bitesize tasks that were still impactful. She helped me recognise the difference between the days where I simply didn't want to revise, and the days where it was simply too overwhelming. I felt way more prepared for my GCSEs and became a lot less worried about not being able to meet the requirements for my future plans.

I highly recommend Tammy to anyone overwhelmed with managing their workload and dealing with burnout.
